Perspective – noun – the faculty of seeing all the relevant data in a meaningful relationship: Your data is admirably detailed but it lacks perspective. I’m writing this post as a reminder to myself. Because it’s very easy to forget. And because gaining a new perspective is an amazing thing. It’s only natural to focus…
What you wrote in one word: “Inspiring”. I’ve read them twice and I am feeling quite emotional. Many of us can’t even imagine what those families are/have going/gone through. You are absolutely right: There is always someone that would trade situations w/ us in the blink of an eye. I too want to “choose happy” and “always smile”. Enjoy what we have in our lives, rather than focusing on what we don’t have. Great post, Kate! I think/hope your words and pictures are going to touch the hearts of everyone that reads this.
What a wonderful experiance for you Kate. I see kids like this everyday at my place if employment & you are so right we have so much to be happy about!
These kids are so very special, I would have loved to have seen their smiles!
What a beautiful and emotional post! How true it is when we really evaluate our “problems” they are so small and sometimes trivial compared to what others are going through. It really puts things in perspective of how happy and grateful we should be for every day and learn to always focus on the positive things in our lives because things could always be worse.
Thank you for this post Kate. Reading this made my “problems” that I thought I had today, disappear. Very humbling.
