bws, client appreciation, and day 7!

Last week I met up with a lovely extended family for some family photos. They were sweet as can be. The world is absolutely alive with color right now and I’m loving processing their photos with all the vibrant greens and pops of brightness … but sometimes I just can’t help but to strip it down and go black and white. Emotion just seems to shine through stronger that way …

I know that my clients want their digital files … so that’s why I switched from print to digital packages. And I’m happy that it makes you happy! But I miss getting to actually see the tangible products. I miss seeing the framed prints and the canvas wraps. So when people share with me the ways they’re enjoying their printed images, it makes my day. (Hint, hint … feel free to share photos of your end products with me!) Brooke and Kenny and a beautiful wedding in Red Hook, NY a few months ago, and I love how they used one of their wedding photos above their bed (and the cool headboard that Kenny made!). This is just so adorable … and so, so Brooke : ) …

And now, on to day 7 of my writing challenge!

I wasn’t quite sure how to pick out just 10 of my favorites! So I went ahead and pulled up my favorite Spotify playlist … here are the first 10 songs that show up:

Blue Ain’t Your Color – Keith Urban

Shake It Out – Florence and the Machine

Talladaga – Eric Church

Hold You in My Arms – Ray LaMontagne

One Love – Bob Marley

The One Who Loves You Most – Brett Dennen

C’est Ecrit – Francis Cabrel

Skinny Love – Birdy

Ramble On – Led Zeppelin

I Like the Sound of That – Rascal Flatts

That was definitely the easiest writing assignment so far : )

Oh, and speaking of Ray LaMontagne … he’s on tour this fall!!!! I was THIS close to getting to his Brooklyn show on his last tour, but we never made it. This time around might just have to happen. I love that man.

Tomorrow I’m shooting Jen and Dave’s wedding at the gorgeous Hollow Brook Golf Club … complete with their suuuuuuper cute little guy. Weddings with kids are my all-time favorite! Little people in tuxedos just steal the show every time.

Happy weekend!
