Free Collage — Delaware Child Photographer

If you just want to find out about the free collage, skip to the FREE COLLAGE heading below. If you want to read some really fascinating stuff about me, then here we go …

It all started when I was about nine. That’s right. Nine. While other kids in school were kicking back with chilled milk, juice, and fruit drinks, I was washing down my school lunch with Diet Pepsi. And yes, I’d wash down the desert with DIET Pepsi also. I drank ridiculous quantities of diet soda. Four and five cans a day. And then right around age 12, I fell in love. He was new. He was fizzy. He was a doctor. And he tasted sooo good. My mouth would water when I saw that cherry red and white Diet Dr. Pepper can. It was just what the doctor ordered. So terrible was my addiction to Diet Dr. Pepper that when I lived in Montreal, I actually had friends and family smuggle huge cases of the stuff over the border every time they visited me. Because, you see, they didn’t sell Diet Dr. Pepper in Montreal when I lived there. Morning coffee? Nah. Just give me a bottle.

I knew it was a problem. I did. And I tried to stop. But I literally couldn’t stop drinking the stuff. I was 100% addicted. And then I discovered something else. Coffee. All of the sudden I was in love with coffee, too. Because apparently, my body thought it needed even MORE caffeine. So, my morning routine included a 24 oz coffee, promptly followed up by two or three bottles of diet dr. pepper throughout the workday. Are you cringing as you read this? Me, too. Thankfully, something happened. I read a book entitled “Your Bodies Many Cries for Water.” “Hmm,” I thought while reading it, “could my body really be dehydrated? I sure don’t feel thirsty.” Well, the book recommended NOT trying to quite your caffeine habit. I liked that. The recommendation was to drink your regular 8-10 glasses of water every day (something I NEVER did), and then to add two MORE glasses of water for every 8oz of soda or coffee you drink. I decided to try it. After all, I wasn’t going to have to give up anything. The first day was rough. I had to force all that water down. The second day was better. And then within three days, Diet Dr. Pepper suddenly started to taste funny to me. Within four days, it tasted disgusting. All I could taste was chemicals. And suddenly, I was thirsty. For water. I haven’t had a diet soda in about three years.

But then there was that little coffee addiction. It didn’t go away. In fact, it increased. I spent the last few years drinking about 72 ounces of coffee everyday. Wawa coffee, to be exact. And now I come to the point of this loooooong rant … it has now been … gulp … four FULL days and I’ve had absolutely NO caffeine at all. None. On the first day, I did have a decaf coffee … but that’s it. After spending nearly 20 years of my life consuming ridiculous amounts of caffeine, I’m pretty excited that I’ve gone this long. My previous record is about 5 hours, so you can understand why I’m so proud. So, if you see me on the street, please be kind. I currently have a wee bit of a headache. And please … no bright lights.

And now … on to something about photography!
