gina + pat: married!! — delaware wedding photographer

“The best thing one can do when it’s raining is to let it rain.” ~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Gina and Pat had a beautiful wedding the other week at The University and Whist Club in Wilmington, Delaware. They planned for an outdoor wedding under a big tree. But it rained … and rained … and rained. And the best part about the rain? It just felt right. The venue is a big old house full of charm that only seemed more … well … charming because of the chilly wet day.

The entire day took place indoors and it was perfect. Gina and Pat were brave enough to run outside for a few shots under a covered barn (thanks, guys!!!). But for the rest of the day, we had fun using all four floors of the house. (And boy, did my legs buuuuurn at the end of the night from running up and down all those stairs!)

Congratulations Gina and Pat : ) I’m so happy for you guys!

I really wasn’t worried about these two when I heard the forecast. I knew they could roll with it. After all, we shot their engagement photos on a day where the real-feel temperature was 105 : )

Happy Weekend!
Kate

p.s. I’m currently booking a handful more weddings for 2017 and one maybe two more for this year. If you’d like to chat with me about your upcoming wedding, shoot me an email at preciousmemoriespix@gmail.com.
