As a wedding photographer, I’ve noticed that when my brides LOOOOOOOOOVE their dress on their wedding day, it changes EVERYTHING. I can tell just by looking at a bride if she feels good in her dress … or if she feels STUNNING (bingo, this is what we want!). Put a woman who feels STUNNING in front of a camera on the happiest day of her life, and you’re guaranteed to have amazing wedding photos. I mean, we could be in a trash dump … and we’d still end up with beautiful photos.
So, I talked with the lovely ladies at Lambs Hill Bridal Boutique in Beacon, NY to find out some great tips and tricks that brides should know before heading out to shop for their dress.
I love this beautiful boutique! Look at how stunning it is …
In addition to being a really beautiful bridal boutique, the ladies who work at Lambs Hill are super fun, sincere, and helpful. If you’re in the Hudson Valley region of upstate New York, definitely stop in and visit them. The owner is responsible for all the beautiful artwork that hangs throughout the rustic and charming store.
This last dress was SO beautiful in the light! The entire thing sparkles. So I asked if we could go out into the sun for just a few moments … me and my camera had to grab a shot! It was about 20 degrees and very windy. And of course, the moment, we went out, the sun retreated. So we didn’t catch the sparkle … but I still think it was worth braving the cold : )
Thanks so much to the lovely ladies at Lambs Hill! It was such a delight chatting and hanging out for a bit. I DEFINITELY recommend these girls, brides! And while we’re at it, I’m SWWOOOOOOOOONING over their wedding venue, too. So brides, call me if you’re thinking of getting married there. I would LOOOOOOOOVE to be your photographer. But only if you’ll let me take pictures of you with the miniature donkeys ; )
