lilah rose! — hudson valley newborn photographer

I finally got to meet my new little niece, and she is such a doll baby!!!! Besides being the sweetest little newborn you ever did meet, she also has the loveliest blue eyes. And on top of that, she has the BIGGEST ham for a big brother : )

Now often, if a newborn photo shoot is going to include an older sibling who is a young toddler, I arrive armed with all kinds of tricks to keep big brother or sister interested in hanging around the new baby long enough to get some adorable snuggle shots. Hide candy in the newborn’s diaper? Yeah. I’ll do it. (Well, the waist band part, anyway!) But even with all my sneakiest tricks, some older siblings are just plain NOT into being in pictures with this new little attention-stealer baby.

And then there’s Henry. I broke a sweat shooting his Mom’s maternity photo session a few months ago because he just didn’t want to sit still for the camera. (Of course, that’s pretty common for two year olds, and why I’m so thankful for fast shutter speeds!) But now that there’s this adorable little baby in the picture and people are enamored … Henry totally figured out how to make sure he was in EVERY picture with his sister. In fact, he pretty much directed this whole shoot, lol. And he did a good job, too. If he doesn’t join the family business when he gets older, I’m pretty sure he would make a fabulous Art Director.

Oh, little Lilah … you’re a doll baby!!!!!!! …

Is she precious, or what?! Just like her big brother when he was a newborn.

I can’t wait to watch Lilah grow!!! : ) : ) And I can’t wait to come back for snuggles!!!!!!
