Look around you. Our amazing world is an unmatchable backdrop for your photos. And if we time it right, the sun serves as the best lighting possible. Cloudy days, especially, are fantastic, since the clouds diffuse the light and leave us with soft colors and natural facial expressions (no squinting!).
What time of year is best for outdoor pictures? Really, the answer is EVERY season!
- Summer: warm weather, green grass, long daylight hours, and fun in the sun.
- Fall: breathtaking colors, crisp weather, and lots of leaves.
- Winter: soft light, rosey cheeks, warm fuzzy mittens and hats, and if you’re really fortunate … snow!
- Spring: flowers and blooms galore.
So, the only question is … WHERE SHOULD WE GO?!
Here are just a few ideas:
Your backyard or neighborhood park – Your child is relaxed and comfortable in and around your home … and it shows in his or her picture! Additionally, it’s nice to capture images of your child playing in his favorite sandbox, or swinging on his favorite swing.
Carousel Park- Pike Creek, DE – Horses, trails, ponds, and rolling hills, the only hard part is deciding where to take the picture. This is a pet-friendly park, so bring fido along and include him in the picture.
