CournteyCourtney Fun! — NY child commercial photographer

This shoot for me was pure joy. And it came at just the right time. I was already scheduled to be in Delaware last week for some photo sessions, and then it ended up that I was also there for my Grandfather’s funeral. His death wasn’t a surprise for any of us. A few months ago he began to really fade. I’m glad he’s no longer suffering. Yet even though I knew the moment was nearing, it still hit me harder than I had expected.

Originally, I was planning on shooting these awesome CourtneyCourtney dresses here in the Hudson Valley area. But for some reason, I just felt a real pull towards scheduling the shoot in Delaware with some of my favorite old standby models : ) So when that Friday arrived, just a few days after my grandfather’s passing, I was so, so, so happy to have something so joyful to photograph. These little girls just melt my heart. I could feel their joy as I watched them. It was so very needed.

It was so chilly the morning of this shoot! It was drizzling, too. I don’t think it was even 60 degrees! Very strange weather, indeed! We cranked up the heater in my car as the girls got changed and then got to work getting warm and toasty by jumping around and having a blast. I have to make mention that all of the Moms were in complete and total agreement: these dresses are just amazing!!! They’re so cute … and just look so adorable on the girls. The girls were all pretty happy about them, too.

So here we go. A HUGE peak at all the fun we had …

Thanks, girls for coming out to play! Mwah!!!!!! : )

XO,
Kate
