We got up at the crack of dawn to do this shoot. And while NO ONE hates waking up more than me, somehow you forget about the pain once the sun begins to peek out at you from over the horizon. There’s something about it that feels so special. And it looks awfully pretty, too …
Winter and fall mornings are so beautiful. Chilly. Very chilly. But the light is different than it is at any other time during the year. I can’t quite put my finger on why it’s so different, but it just is. And as for the chilly part, well, Jess was out in a blizzard in a strapless gown on our last shoot, so this was a piece of cake! …
Sigh.
We shot these pictures at Fair Hill Park, which is also where we shot their wedding pictures. It was fun to go back to some of the same spots and create some updated pictures : ) …

We popped into Milburn’s for just a few shots, but more importantly, a few hot apple donuts for Noah ; ) …
And then we wrapped things up at their house. No matter how many times I do maternity shots with jeans and tank tops I never tire of the look …
Next time you see Jess here on the blog it will be with her new little man, Noah. And I’m thinking we prooooobably won’t do that in the snow ; )
