A couple of weeks ago, Gina and Jeff had a gorgeous wedding in beautiful Playa del Carmen, Mexico. This was my first destination wedding! And it’s also my last wedding. I made the decision to not book any weddings for 2014 about a year and a half ago. After six years of long wedding days, my body needs a break!! (I’m still booking child, family, and commercial sessions, though.) But then, maybe a year or so ago, Gina contacted me and asked if I’d be available for her January 2014 wedding. I almost said “no” … but then I was like, wait, who says “no” to Mexico in January?!! Plus, I just really loved their vision of a simple, beautiful wedding with just a handful of people that mean the most to them. I’m so glad that I was there to document their day. I knew it would be good. We had a GREAT engagement session last year : )
As I’m typing this up, the freezing rain and snow is falling outside my window. Hard to believe just a few weeks ago my toes were in the sand. Sunny and mid 70s. EXCELLENT choice, guys : ) …
The day was filled with lots of laughter … which is always a delight to photograph : )
