Meet baby Noah …
As you can see, he’s just a tiny little peanut.
But don’t be fooled by his size. He’s got a will of iron! He let me know each and every time that he was NOT happy with a prop or position we placed him into.
When I first started photographing newborns, my favorite shots were always the shots we got of the baby in a cool prop … or sleeping in an interesting position. And in between taking those shots I would snap a few shots of the parents interacting with the baby, though these were never really a priority for me. Lately though, while I still love the sleepy prop shots, I’ve been reeeeally loving the in-between stuff more and more … especially in black and white. There’s just a raw kind of honesty to the shots in b/w …
I’m so glad we actually got this shot because he HATED it! He didn’t like the position and he did NOT like going without a blanket! Jess would uncover him and he’d start to scream. But after many attempts, we finally got it : ) …
One of my favorite shots … ever …
Much love to this sweet family : ) I can’t wait to come back in a few months and photograph the little peanut when he’s not quite so little anymore!
Happy Tuesday!
Kate
