I'm Kate. A lover of bright colors, wildflowers, thrift scores, and long walks in the woods. I'm Mom to the cutest little chihuahua named Charlie and together we live in a tiny 400 square foot cabin in the Hudson Valley. AGE:
Young enough to have a ton of fun ... but definitely old enough to know better ; )

LOCATION(s):
Hudson Valley and upstate NY, NYC, Delaware and everything in between. Planning a destination wedding? I love to travel. I was born and raised in Delaware ... but oh how I LOVE upstate New York.

OCCUPATION:
Wedding and Family Photographer (since 2007). Prior to becoming a photographer, I worked as a graphic artist and marketing writer for 10 years.

FAVORITE WEDDING MOMENT: 
THAT moment. It's different at every single wedding. But it's the moment when a tingle runs down my spine because I know I just caught a photo that is epically special. 

FAVORITE FAMILY PHOTO MOMENT: 

Just like with weddings, it's THAT moment. Suddenly the sun streams through the clouds right as your little one reaches for your hand. Or, your hair blows just as your husband pulls you closer and you close your eyes. My heart explodes every time when I hit the shutter during one of these special moments.

FOOD OBSESSIONS:
Dark chocolate and kombucha

PHOBIAS:

Having my photo taken. I really, really get it when my clients tell me they're camera shy.  This particular phobia makes me a very understanding photographer : ) But I'm also terrified of bats. And that serves no purpose at all.

CHILDREN:
Currently my plant family has grown to epic proportions and I have the cutest little chihuahua you ever did see. 

FAVORITE PLACE TO BE: 
The woods. You'll find me meandering along a beaten path (or perhaps forging my own trail) pretty much every day. Nature makes me feel whole.

FAVORITE CLOTHING STORE:
Free People. But I rarely shop there. Instead, I get inspired by their catalogues and then go thrift pieces and make my own look.

FAVORITE WAY TO PASS A DAY:
Piano, watercolors, hiking, gardening, and spending time with friends.
