Ok all you Moms and Dads with cameras out there … here’s a quick little tip that just may come in handy for you one day – especially if you happen to have a rambunctious 2 year old and you just CAN’T get a good shot! Little ones often mimic everything we do or say, so if your little guy or gal is literally bouncing off the walls and making it impossible for you to get a good shot, cock your head to one side, open your eyes really wide, lower your voice to a whisper, and tell him that you have a secret. You may see his demeanor instantly change. He may lower his head and get an adorable sheepish look on his face. And if you keep up your whisper and even start tip toeing, chances are you might buy yourself approximately 45 seconds of stillness. After that 45 seconds is up, well, you’re on your own! Singing in a whisper is fun, too … it makes kids giggle : )
Big boy Cooper had a mini session last weekend. He’s almost two! I can’t believe how fast the time has gone by. His Mom told me that lately he does NOT like to smile for the camera. So, between balloons, tickling, and lots of bouncing with Dad, we got the smiles. We also got the energy factor waaaaaaaaay up a few notches above what we wanted! So, I tried the secret trick! I told him that I had a secret, and here’s what he did …
And then he turned around and got all cute (and smiley! ) …
And then he got all GQ in his pea coat! …
Oh my … how can you say “no” to a face like that?! …
