Nicole & Brian: Married!! — Greystone Hall, West Chester, PA Wedding Photography

This is my last month of weddings. Well, except for one final no-doubt amazing wedding this January in Mexico! My body needs a bit of a break and I’m excited at the thought of having more time to pursue other areas of my business more fully. But this moment … this one right now … me posting a big preview of pictures that I know will mean the world to Brian and Nicole … this is the moment I’m going to miss the most about weddings. Maybe that’s why I got a little carried away with their preview! It’s a little large : ) But I loved so much about Brian and Nicole’s beautiful wedding last week at Greystone Hall in West Chester, PA.

Throughout the entire day, as I looked around me, I saw nothing but huge smiles. (Kinda like on their engagement session!) It was truly a joyous day filled with laughter, tears, hugs, and so much love. Not to mention some pretty great dancing! I almost didn’t get to work with these two because my September wedding schedule was already full when Nicole first contacted me. But they were in a little bit of a jam … and when I met with them I knew that it would be a special day. And it was! I’m so glad that I got be there!

Nicole looked absolutely stunning. And I’m incredibly impressed with how she walked around in a 20-pound dress all day long like it weighed nothing at all! And let’s talk for a moment about the pillars at Greystone. I. LOVE. Them! Not only are they the most perfect place ever for a romantic first look, but the lighting is so beautiful because of the soft reflection off the pillars. It’s kind of like having your first look surrounded by whiteboxes : )

Congratulations, guys!! : ) : ) I’m so happy for you. You couldn’t have had a more beautiful wedding day. Thank you for choosing me : )

Oh, and did you notice in the picture of the reception with the night sky that there were bats up there above me? I went outside to grab the shot and right as I did, a whole swarm of bats came zipping out from their home nearby. That is, of course, completely normal when surrounded by woods. I, however, am NOT normal when it comes to bats. If you follow my blog then you know I’ve had a recent bat issue at my home and it’s taken about 10 years off my life. I’m absolutely PETRIFIED of them. I had to muster up every ounce of professionalism to stifle my screams as they flew above me. (They weren’t even close to me … but like I said, it’s an irrational fear!) Hopefully not too many people at the reception saw me … you know … running. for. my. LIFE!

XOXO,
Kate
