It’s here! The 3rd Annual Nominate-a-Friend Contest!!!!
I had such a wonderful time with last year’s winners : )
Do you know someone who would really love to receive a FREE photo session complete with either a free set of prints (4 8x10s, 6 5x7s, and 2 sets of wallets) OR a free Build-a-Package package (with this package, unlimited prints are available at the following prices: $1 4×6, $3 5×7, $5 8×10)? Tell me why this person deserves the session and you just might win it for him or her! There is no travel fee for any area within a 20-mile radius of 19711. The winner must book his or her session within two weeks of being announced. The session must take place before September 1, 2012.
This contest is open to both Beautiful You sessions and Precious Memories sessions. So that includes family shoots (an extra $25 charge applies for each person over five individuals), individual kids shoots, seniors, couples shoots, post wedding shoots, and glamour shoots.
Who should you nominate?
This isn’t simply a contest about who has had the worst year. In fact, the person you nominate might be having a fabulous year! It may be that you’re nominating him or her because of how kind and caring he or she is. Or because she has done lots of volunteer work. Or because he touched your heart in some way this year. Or it may, in fact, be that the person you nominate really is having a stinker of a year and could really use a special treat. Whatever it is … let us know!
The only thing that I ask is that whether your entry is selected as the winner or not, please share what you wrote with the person! A free session would no doubt knock his or her socks off … but your words kind words are the best gift.
How to enter:
Send an e-mail to preciousmemoriespix@gmail.com describing in 250 words or less why the individual you are nominating deserves to win. Please be specific because I’m not the one who will be selecting the winner! So, if you say, “I want to nominate Kelly … you know what kind of a year she’s been having,” the judge will have NO idea what you’re talking about, even if I do.
Deadline:
All entries must be submitted by March 26, 2012 at midnight.
The “judge”:
Our “judge” this time around is Betsy McConnell, a wearer of many hats, including reading specialist, wife, Mommy, and author of the Delaware Kid Approved site and blog. The goal of her site is to help local families find events, save some $$$, explore new toys, and have some fun with giveaways. Be sure and check it out!!!!! You can find her on Facebook, too.
I’ve put quotation marks around the word “judge” simply because she’s not really going to be “judging” the entries. There’s no right or wrong kind of submission. I choose a different “judge” each year and I tell them all the same thing: Choose the entry that speaks to your heart. So each year the results will be very different because it’s a different heart that is making the selection.
Rules:
– Sorry, but you can not nominate yourself (nice try!).
– Yes, you can nominate someone who doesn’t live in the area, but understand that their photo shoot must take place locally (unless the person lives in Paris, Hawaii, or Italy AND wants to pay for my trip ; ))
– I will not share any of the stories sent my way, as they are personal. I would LIKE to share the winning story … but I will get permission from that person first.
– No late entries will be accepted. Sorry.
– Also, entries longer than 250 words will have to be discarded. Sorry. Our judge is a busy lady!
