It feels like just yesterday when I first met this lovely family and photographed their then 3-month-old cutie, Elsie. And now she’s such a big girl! …

She’s also a new big sister! This is little Brady. He has the sweetest little lips and the most gorgeous skin! …

He is such a little sweet pea. He was a good boy for his entire session and gave us an equal amount of awake and sleeping shots …

Elsie is learning that it isn’t always easy being a big sister …

But she’s doing a good job …

It was a windy day the day of our session. But thankfully, the family’s backyard has tall buildings all around it, which blocked the wind and kept little Brady nice and warm …

I didn’t bring the yellow hat for Elsie, but she took a liking to it. And I have to say, she sure does look super cute in it! In this next picture she reminds me so much of her cousin, Gracie …

And we’ll end this blog preview with one of my favorite shots from the day, complete with a little smile : ) …

Jackson – 6 months — new jersey child photography

Rain happens. And sometimes it happens on session days. But that’s ok, rain or shine, Jackson is a super cutie! …

Jackson and his family were in town for his aunt’s wedding … just the day before his photo session. Yes, these brave folks scheduled a family shoot the day after a big family wedding : ) Since they were leaving to go home the following day, we couldn’t reschedule for a less wet day … so we stayed inside and had some fun …

I love the little pucker in his lips : ) …

This one might be my favorite from the day. He’s got the best eyes …

Although, this one is pretty cute, too : ) …

Hope you guys got home safe and sound, Jess : ) And hopefully you can all schedule some nice long naps sometime this week! I know you guys must be exhausted!

nice and simple — new jersey family photography

Happy Friday! Let’s kick the weekend off with a sweet little preview of two of my favorite nieces’ most recent session (I have three nieces, and they’re all my favorites : )). Our plan was for a super simple shoot featuring nothing more than some pretty light and sweet smiles. I think we succeeded  …

Sometimes simple is best …

My friend the Wonder Horse came out for a few shots …

But mainly, there was just lots of snuggling …

Big sisters are so helpful (sometimes) …

Our best efforts with a bubble machine were slightly foiled by the constant breeze blowing at the top of the hill at Brandywine Creek State Park. But sometimes manual is best anyway : ) …

All of the dresses the girls are wearing are from Old Navy. Old Navy and Gap are two of my favorite stores for family photo shoots because everything in the entire store coordinates with everything else … in every department. So if you struggle with the idea of coordinating your family’s clothes and always end up getting too matchy-matchy, take a trip down to Old Navy or Gap and the work has pretty much been done for you …
